This 2.54 acre lot is located in peaceful Pine Meadows Ranch on the back side of El Morro National Monument about two hours west of Albuquerque. Photos are taken of the property and surrounding views in April 2010. It is in northwestern New Mexico near the Cibola National Forest and the small towns of Ramah and Zuni. It is about an hour south of Gallup and an hour west of Grants NM near the Arizona State line. This is a fascinating rural area, well off the beaten path. The area is filled with stunning rock formations and big tall rich red mesas, El Morro being one of them!
This pretty piece of land sits in an open area that is about 1/4 of a mile long and then the area is surrounded by a very pretty tree perimeter making for a very private area tucked away with no one around! There are a few scattered small trees, under brush, sage and dirt. It looks like there is a bit of an intermittent stream running along the road. It is fairly flat along the north where the road is and then slopes down towards the back of the property to the south. It is an interesting lower part to the south and there is an old rustic fence in the distance along the tree line. You can see the peaks of some snowcapped mountains to the southwest to the southeast. Yes snow was still in them!
It is a quiet and peaceful area. This lot was extremely easy to find and get to as the roads were well marked! The property is zoned for either a home or RV. Horses are allowed up here and some owners use this in the summer months with their RV's to escape the heat of the valley floor and come ride their horses up here. Enjoy! Char the Explorer : )
