Tall Pine Trees By Modoc National Forest! Quiet Peaceful Escape In Cool Mountains

One acre in northern California in Cal Pines located about ten miles southwest of the town of Alturas, 50 miles south of the Oregon border and 30 miles west of the Nevada border. All of the photos were taken of the property and its surrounding views when we visited it in May 2010! Located by the Modoc National Forest this is one beautiful place! The property is covered in beautiful tall pine trees - huge trees! There are a few small meadows sprinkled about. I found the stake in the ground on lot #16 as seen in the photos which is the neighboring lot. It looks like someone who formerly owned this property had a stack of wood, a fire pit area, and some type of stand.
The property slopes down off of Alamo Road to the north. It is part of a gentle rolling hill. The road was in very decent shape as seen in the photos. It was a gravely/dirt mixture. There are a few trees down along Alamo Road to the west in the bend but I was able to snake around them in my truck as someone has moved them a bit. The roads are marked all of the way to the property. There is a neighbor down the road just north of Reno and Overland which is where power is also as seen in the photos.
Much of the subdivision is surrounded by Modoc National Forest offering over two million acres of fun! Cal Pines is over 30,000 acres offering beautiful pine forests, mountain views, lakes and ponds. You can boat and fish in four lakes and there are three campgrounds for the use of property owners. There is a lodge there as well that offers guest rooms, a restaurant, game room, paddle boats, kayaks, canoes and swimming pool. Adjacent to the lodge is an airstrip. The elevation varies from 4200 feet to 6400 feet.
