We seem to be selling lots in Pine Meadow Ranch New Mexico as quickly as I can get them up for sale! And we only bought a handful of them! This 5.1 acres is made up of 2 adjoining properties in peaceful Pine Meadows Ranch on the back side of El Morro National Monument about two hours west of Albuquerque. It is in northwestern New Mexico near the Cibola National Forest and the small towns of Ramah and Zuni. It is about an hour south of Gallup and an hour west of Grants NM near the Arizona State line. This is a fascinating rural area, well off the beaten path. The area is filled with stunning rock formations and big tall rich red mesas, El Morro being one of them! We are offering these two lots together as they make up a nice chunk of land. The lots are 2.569 acres each. If you wanted to turn around and sell one or give one away no additional paperwork would need to be filed as they are already subdivided.
We found the properties staked at to the top of the hill where it flattens out towards the east. Most of the road is in great shape but on the way up to the very top it gets bumpy at the end. We did not need 4wd but I suggest you have good clearance to get over some of the bigger bumpy rocks. There were a few neighbors along Cheyenne which you can see in the aerial photos. There are lots of tall thick trees and I consider this heavily treed for Pine Meadows. It sits a bit higher up in elevation being on top of the hill which gives a bit more snowpack giving more trees! A very beautiful spot in Pine Meadows!
Have I mentioned yet how much I love Pine Meadows? For nine years now I have told Mark how beautiful this place was and this was his first time ever visiting it! The birds were singing and the sun was shining through the trees making for pretty meadows. There were lots of native plants scattered about - I notice in the higher elevations here you see some interesting plants! Pretty, Pretty, Pretty!!! There were still some patches of snow laying about even in early April.
We had found the road towards the north was a bit bumpy to the top. There were neighbors down the hill aways. There are spectacular views to the west of the properties of a rock outcropping and the pretty valley with trees spread across the horizon and then treed rolling hills are in the far distance. The valley was so green from the spring rain and snow melt. There is lots of tangled wood especially down by the ravine. The property is grassy and there are bits of slab rock strewn about. The pretty types of rocks they make pathways out of in the desert! If you stand silent for a few minutes you hear the wind rustling through the trees and a couple of birds singing but otherwise there is complete silence. : ) The elevation is 7,494 feet.
The property is zoned for either a home or RV. Horses are allowed up here and some owner’s use this in the summer months with their RV's to escape the heat of the valley floor and come ride their horses up here. I love to spend the day looking at land in Pine Meadows and appreciate the opportunity to once again offer property here! If you have been looking for a place for peace and serenity check this out.
